Good to know
- Come June–September when the grass is green and wildflowers bloom.
- Renting a car or joining a driver-tour is the only way to reach the best meadows.
- Nights are cold even in summer — pack warm layers for yurt stays.
Getting there
Hailar Airport (HLD) is the regional hub; from there it is a road trip across the grasslands to the border towns.
