Good to know
- The winter light-up nights sell out months ahead and need bookings.
- Come by bus from Takayama or Kanazawa — no train reaches the village.
- Stay overnight in a farmhouse minshuku to see it after the day crowds leave.

Highway buses from Takayama (~50 min) and Kanazawa (~1.25h); no rail service.
