Visa & Entry

Thailand is one of the easiest countries to enter. Citizens of many nations get a generous visa-free stay on arrival, and a digital arrival card has replaced the old paper slip.

60-day visa-free entry

Passport holders from around 90 countries — including the US, UK, EU and Australia — can enter visa-free for up to 60 days for tourism. Confirm the current allowance for your nationality before you travel.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card

Complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within a few days before you arrive. Fill in your flight and accommodation details and save the confirmation.

  • Use only the official TDAC government portal
  • Have your flight and first hotel address ready
  • Complete it within 3 days of arrival

Extending your stay

You can extend a visa-free stay by 30 days once at a local immigration office for a modest fee — handy if the islands lure you into staying longer.
